JOB DESCRIPTION
The Creative Channel Planning team is a specialized unit within PHD Shanghai specifically charged with distilling consumer insights and driving creative communications solutions and innovative platforms and tactics across digital and traditional media and content.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Pioneering
· Passionate in innovation and creativity in conceptualizing, strategizing and executing projects

Creative Channel Planning
· Partner with brand, creative, account, research & digital planners to provide insights as they pertain to the media landscape on why people love brands in China, Point Of Sale Activities, China Youthology and Trends in General in Consumer Goods / Services
· An avid follower and trend spotter of how the channel landscape is evolving, you know how people are using new/emerging media and you can tell if something will engage consumers or be ignored
· Mastery in how to plan and execute media [online & offline], how various channels complement one another and how to pull syndicated research and should elevate their own role so that they begin to see and effect the big picture
Thought Leadership & Thinking Process
· Generate ideas and strategies and proactively lead the clients, creative and the account team
· Established a level of credibility to your thinking and work and have fostered relationships so that when you are headed in a direction with a strategic idea, others will follow
Client Focus & Delivery
· Advanced & confident presentation & selling skills
· Contribution to the effective delivery on client goals
· Work with internal teams to deliver quantitative measures on client projects
Implementation / Knowledge / Skills / Results
· Advanced knowledge of clients business
· Going out and meeting people to have a real understanding of true insights
· Exceptional client facing skills
· Command respect for strategic thinking or to convince a client of its impact and value
· Stay on top of the evolving media landscape and strategic approaches and push both clients and agencies to do the same
· Effectively present team recommendation and POV concisely and with conviction
· Passionate about working with brand strategists and creative to produce great work
· Proactive work style, are engaging, and have great communication skills
· Ability to think strategically while managing multiple projects with short timelines
· Clear, concise business writer

· Grassroots level of understanding in digital & emerging technologies, platforms & tools

QUALIFICATIONS
· A minimum of 5 years of experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing or related fields
· Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese
· A complete knowledge of marketing concepts and practices as well as offline media concepts
· Working knowledge of online research tools such as CNRS, iResearch and other media software tools
· Expert knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
